Simon J. Mildé
Simon Mildé is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Richbell Capital. He is responsible for overseeing all of RBC’s investments.
Mr. Mildé is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Greenwich Group International LLC (“GGI”), where he is responsible for overseeing all worldwide real estate investment banking activities of the firm. With over 30 years’ experience in the international marketing of institutional quality real estate, Mr. Mildé is actively involved in the marketing efforts of all major assignments from the firm’s New York headquarters’ office. As one of the more active real estate investment banks, GGI has been involved in the disposition and financing of over $30 billion in commercial real estate throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Over the past several years, GGI has built a reputation as a creative source of capital for all sectors of real estate, both on the entity and project levels.
As its Chairman, Mr. Mildé co-founded Terra Capital Partners (“Terra”) Terra Capital Partners is a real estate investment management and finance company with offices in the U.S. Terra specializes in real estate investing for institutional, high net worth, and retail investors. Terra originates and manages equity, mortgage and hybrid investments in all major property types. Since 2004, Terra has made over 200 debt and direct equity investments in properties with an aggregate value in excess of $6.7 billion.
Simon Mildé is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Capital District Properties, LLC, an experienced, fully integrated real estate development firm that specializes in land acquisition, development, construction and management of commercial real estate throughout New York State. He is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RBC Hotels LLC, a privately held real estate investment, development and management company focused on distinctive and unique independent hotel and restaurant properties located in urban and resort locations throughout the United States of America.
Mr. Mildé is a past Governor of the Real Estate Board of New York and a Member of the Advisory Board of the Real Estate Institute of New York University.
Tobias Mildé is a founding member and the President of Richbell Capital (RBC). As President, Mr. Milde oversees the day-to-day acquisition, development, construction, and property management activities for the company’s real estate operations.
Mildé is responsible for the formation and overseeing the day-to-day development and management operations The Adelphi Hotel, Salt & Char Modern American Steakhouse and other Adelphi Hospitality Group and RBC projects and properties, and is responsible for the formation and day-to-day operation of RBC Construction, the entity responsible for Owners Representation of all of the company’s developments. RBC Construction is responsible for overseeing the construction of in excess of $100 Million.
Prior to the formation of RBC, Mr. Mildé spent six years with The Greenwich Group International (GGI) where he focused on development finance and investment sales for institutional real estate clients throughout the United States.
Larry Roth has embodied an entrepreneurial spirit since the age of ten, starting with a paper route, and progressing to summer delivery jobs and selling souvenirs as a vendor at Madison Square Garden through his graduation from Queens College.
In 1982, Larry teamed up with Jeff White and Al Berg to launch Marchon Eyewear Inc., following a successful eight-year career at Avant-Garde Optics. Since its founding, Marchon has grown into one of the three largest eyewear companies in the world. The Marchon sales team and employees number more than 3,000 globally with distribution in over 75 countries.
In 2008, Marchon was sold to Vision Service Plan (VSP), the nation’s largest eyecare benefits provider with close to 70 million members. Marchon continues to operate from its Long Island-based headquarters as an independent entity within the VSP family of businesses.
In addition to his consulting role with VSP, Larry is also the Chairman of Bluesky Forever, a real estate holding company, and is a partner with his wife, Nanci, and daughter, Jaime, in LNJ Foxwoods Stables.
Larry Roth is a founder of Hadassah University Hospital, an associate trustee of North Shore University Hospital and was co-chair of the Optical Division Chapter of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA) for over 20 years. Larry lives with his wife on Long Island’s North Shore.
David Roth is a partner of Adelphi Hospitality Group and currently serves as Senior Associate at Greenwich Capital and CEO of Bluesky Forever. His responsibilities include raising money for real estate developers. Mr. Roth is excited to be working with AHG on its various projects, as it speaks to his love of architecture, interior design, and passion for food and travel.
Mr. Roth is a partner of popular New York City seafood restaurant, The Clam, and is a co-founder of Aztech Mountain, a performance sportswear clothing company recently won the 2016 style award at ISPO BRAND NEW, the world’s largest start-up competition in the sporting goods industry. Prior to his work with Adelphi Hospitality Group, Greenwich Capital and Aztech Mountain, Mr. Roth spent six years at PricewaterhouseCoopers focusing on forensic accounting and auditing.
Mr. Roth studied finance at New York University Stern School of Business, where he received his undergraduate degree, and, after six years of working at PricewaterhouseCoopers, also received his MBA. Mr. Roth serves on the board for Aid for AIDS, a nonprofit committed to empowering both communities at risk of HIV and the general population.
James Flood is the Chief Operating Officer of Richbell Capital. Mr. Flood joined The Greenwich Group International’s New York office in 1998 as the Chief Operating Officer and played a key role in the formation of Richbell Capital. Mr. Flood has 30 years of experience in real estate development, debt and equity financing, property and asset management, tax planning and financial management. His responsibilities include managing the core operating and financial functions of The Greenwich Group International LLC, Terra Capital Partners LLC, Richbell Capital, Pacific Star USA LLC, and GRE Securities, LLC.
Prior to joining GGI, Mr. Flood served for 14 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Related Companies, one of the nation’s leading development, property syndication, mortgage banking, and property management companies and the largest U.S. owner of residential apartments. Earlier, as Vice President of Finance and Administration for American Landmark Development, a multifamily development company specializing in conversions and high-rise development in the United States and Canada, Mr. Flood directed conversions and property management for the firm. Prior to American Landmark Development, he served as the Comptroller of Cadillac Fairview Residential Properties, a mid- and low-rise condominium development firm and Corporate Treasurer of Baker-Firestone, a regional real estate development firm, which focused on property conversions, low-rise condominium development, and industrial development.
Mr. Flood holds a BEE degree from Manhattan College, an MSEE degree from New York University, and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.
Larry Baucom is a Senior Managing Director of Richbell Capital with over 35 years of commercial real estate experience in investment, equity and debt financing, joint-venture structuring, leasing, management and consulting. In 1995 he was one of the founding partners of The Greenwich Group International.
Prior to The Greenwich Group International, Mr. Baucom was a Managing Director with Jones Lang Wootton USA. In 1979 he became Managing Director responsible for the firm’s New York Wall Street Division. In 1984, Mr. Baucom became the Managing Director for the Washington, DC region. In that capacity, he started the Washington office and, in the years that he served as Managing Director, he oversaw the growth of its full-service operations, a substantial portion of which was with an international clientele.
Mr. Baucom received his BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and his MBA in Finance from New York University.
Born in Singapore and raised in Switzerland, Gray Kunz began his career as a chef-apprentice in Bern, then at the Beau Rivage Palace and Baur au Lac, finally finding himself in the hands of Freddy Giradet for five years, in Crissier. Subsequently, he became executive chef at Plume, at the Regent – Hong Kong, Adrienne at The Peninsula – New York, and Lespinasse at the St. Regis – New York.
While in Manhattan, his exceptional culinary artistry earned him four stars from The New York Times, Best Chef in New York City, and numerous James Beard Foundation nominations. Among many other awards and distinctions, he was inducted into the Restaurant Hall of Fame by the Culinary Institute of America.
Kunz is the author of the groundbreaking book: The Elements of Taste. Indicative of his tireless work ethic and passion for remarkable cuisine, in the last several years he opened Café Gray and Grayz in New York City (both since closed), followed by Café Gray Deluxe in Hong Kong at The Upper House, which was recently awarded Best Boutique Hotel in Asia in the Travel Weekly Asia Reader’s Choice Awards; Café Gray Deluxe was recognized as one of 2015’s Great Hotel Restaurants in Hotel Magazine.
But it is here in Saratoga Springs where Chef Kunz is continuing his legacy. Through the formation of the Adelphi Hospitality Group, headquartered in Saratoga, Chef Kunz and his partners have created the ultimate hospitality platform to showcase his life’s work, his personal passions, and his endless aspirations. Adelphi Hospitality Group’s current projects includeSalt & Char, a Modern American steakhouse; The Adelphi Hotel, a boutique culinary-centric hotel; Brasserie Gray Kunz, a contemporary, refined take on the classic French brasserie; The Blue Hen, for artisan-market style offerings; and The Adelphi Lounge, which marries mixology and oceanic fare. The Adelphi Hotel – home to the aforementioned Brasserie Gray Kunz, The Blue Hen, and The Adelphi Lounge – is slated for a Spring 2017 opening.
